Cumberland Gap Tunnel
Bell County · Cumberland Plateau
Opened on 1996 to replace US 25 that originally sent over and through the gap via the original Wilderness Road.
When building the tunnel, they hit a cave that they drilled right through. Look for the doors, one on each side of the tunnel towards the Tennessee side. They lead to the cave.
