New Year 2026 Update

The arch database has been updated and it now has 3277 arches (3601 including false arches & small windows), 1544 of which are on the maps. There are also 793 possible arches or leads in the database.

The overlook database has been updated and now includes 348 overlooks, with 344 overlooks on the map. Check them out on the Landforms Map.

The landform map has been updated and now includes two new features.

The first is it now has the Kentucky Phase 2 LiDAR included on it. It previously had Phase 1 LiDAR. This upgrade is utilizing a 2 foot DEM instead of a 5 foot DEM. You can find arches and all kind of stuff by using this LiDAR. You can see it in action below.


The second addition is Kentucky's Phase 3 aerial imagery. A while back the map had Phase 1 imagery that was eventually removed. This new imagery is statewide and is 3" pixels! So you can see some crazy detail. Enjoy and see below.
